Huntington is one of ten towns in Suffolk County, Long Island. Huntington is a waterfront North Shore town offering beautiful beach views, plenty of boating and beach activities in the summer months. In addition to the beach, Huntington has great landscapes, stores and restaurants, hospitals and schools. It also features a lively walkable downtown, and was voted as one of Money Magazine's Top 50 Best Places to Live in America list in 2016.
According to Money Magazine, the "110 Corridor" in Huntington, which runs along Route 110, has brought an influx of manufacturing units and business jobs to the area. There is also a bit of history to the town, with the historical Gold Coast mansions like Oheka Castle and Walt Whitman's birthplace open for visits.
Huntington borders Nassau County to its West. For those who commute to Manhattan for work, the LIRR train from Huntington Station to Manhattan takes a little over an hour. The drive is around 40 miles.
